            foliage.  A human body spews out from the leaves, as though vomited.)

            (Referring to the body)

It looks like a Hollywood prop---

FOOFEE

’Covered in slime---

            (FOOFEE wipes the slime away.  The women gather around.)

FOOFEE

ANNIE

IT’S LONNIE!

            (The PANTHER LADY bays loudly.)

            spurty.  The PANTHER LADY puts it out under a heap of banana leaves.  The 

            women start to rouse themselves.)

ANNIE

            (Looking around)

GEORGETTE

            (To GRACE)

You haven’t called me Georgie since---

ANNIE

            ANTHONY, in an especially mannish pose.  With her is her favorite blind 

            lesbian, HELEN KELLER.)

SUSAN B.

            (Sighing [sic] into HELEN’s palm)

Let’s have an oligarchy of sex.

            (The two speak their special twin language.)

Grace, I’m so glad!

GRACE

Honey, you’re covered with blood!

            (ANNIE sits up suddenly.)

ANNIE

That’s not---?

GEORGETTE

Oh, it’s just snake blood, dear.  I killed an anaconda with some reading material.

ANNIE

Oh.  Then Lonnie---

GEORGETTE

About Lonnie . . .

ANNIE

Yes?

ELINOR RADLEY

First, let’s talk about me.  I killed an abomination made from a woman-eating plant and the heads of some superfluous lesbians.

ANNIE

But Lonnie?

GEORGETTE

I know when things have gone on too long.  Let’s wake up.  Panther Lady!

            (Outside the cube, the PANTHER LADY, snarling, takes a giant snuffer and puts 

            out the dream.)

Oh, these raspberries!

GRACE

I worked on the bomb, you know!

FOOFEE

            (Looking up)

Really?

GRACE

Now you listen.  It wasn’t the real bomb---

COUNTESS VAN DER CAVE

            (To FOOFEE)

What about blackberries?

GRACE

It was Hollywood.  I made bombs for pictures.  That’s where Georgette and I fell in love---

            (Ding dong!)

FOOFEE

Someone’s outside the cube!

            (Enter ELINOR RADLEY, covered in leaves and skull.)

ELINOR RADLEY

Remind me never---

GRACE

I’m going to finish!  Georgette and I got work as bomb seamstresses, for war pictures.

ELINOR RADLEY

What’s with her?

GRACE

So we were making bombs, side by side.  But I wasn’t sure if Georgette loved me.  So, one day, I made a false bomb.

FOOFEE

Weren’t they all---?

GRACE

And I detonated it, and covered myself with catsup and pretended to be dead.  And Georgie kissed me so much, we had to hide from our supervisor.  Later, she said---

            (Enter GEORGETTE, covered in snake blood.)

GEORGETTE and GRACE

            (GEORGETTE joins in)

Catsup never tasted so good!
